The trick is...bin it and get a crusher handle instead!

if you're bending the thumb tab then the screws are in too far. the blue max i use is in a channel. i also have the bigger one for auto that is clipped directly in w/ no channel. i never unscrew it unless to change the blade.

after writing this i was determined to get it working.

i bent the tabs back to what i felt was about normal and took the screws almost all the way out. i put the blade in and then i clicked the thumb tab back into locking position. it was way to big to hold the blue max blade correctly, but i held it there while tightening the screws and it actually help.

i have lost two blue max's in the last like 3 weeks so today i ordered 3 blue max and one clear max. hopefully they last me another month or so rollin.gif

forget about the small lever, just tighten the screws to the max..

Like I said...bin it and get a proper handle.!!!

sometimes you have to bend that lever even further to get it to lock in. thats what i just had to do on the brand new handle i ordered. i was familiar with using the handles and it still puzzled me after tightening and loosening the screws multiple times

Try taking apart the screws and wiping out the spot of grease that Unger applies. It's what has worked for me.

I make a mark with my "red" sharpie eyebrows.gif where the teeth are gonna grab the blade , then cut at an angle the area to be removed.
It's about 1/8" wide cut ,v-shaped .holds real good and then the screws can be adjusted as need be twocents.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
