jetta rear deck removal

pop these covers off to expose the 13mm bolts, remove all 3.


stick a screwdriver like this and pry up to pop the 3 hidden clips, one in the middle and one on each end.


dont forget to unplut the 3rd brakelight.

the deck will slide out when you pull it towards yourself

and if you are having trouble getting the plastic covers back on, pull the pannel out and push down on the center as you push it toward the window to get the middle hook to grab the hole, if you dont, you'll never be able to get those covers to stop popping off

throw them in the trash and blame it on volkdwagen

I just cut around the brake like on it just like I do on the Passat also.

I leave the mechanicing to the experts on Monster Garage.

I NEVER TAKE OUT THE REAR DECKS ON JETTAS, I GOT A REAL THIN (BUT FIRM) PIECE OF PLASTIC, SORT OF SIMILAR TO A CLIP BOARD
I JUST SQUEEGEE LIKE NORMAL AND USE MY CONQUEROR OR SIDE SWIPER, IF I CAN'T GET ALL THE BUBBLE OUT WITH EITHER OF THEM I JUST SIMPLY PRESS THEM OUT WITH THE PLASTIC, 20 MINUTE WINDOW TOPS!!!!

This is one of the easiest rear decks to remove & takes just a couple of minutes. You'll want to be sure to remove the small black carpet strip that's underneath it too to keep it from absorbing water.

Is the mk3 93-99 jetta rear deck removal the same?

its for the current body style.

Is this deck removal for an 04 Jetta the same? Im tinting my girls car for her birthday and I looked at the rear deck it looks as if it will slide out, but need to remove the child seat holders first. It looks as if the bolts are from the top threaed down. I also noticed that I don't need to take the whole door pannels off? Just pry the top and remove the gasket. Any help Id appreciate it thanks.

just kidding, yeah, the o4 is the same , the gaskets in the doors pop out but beware, they can be hard to get out if you've never taken them out B4 , good luck on tinting the V
