ok, i tint in hutchinson, ks, which is about in the middle of the state. anyway, i have read both laws pertaining to window tint here, and basically they read that any sun screening device which is used IN CONJUNCTION with the factory safety glazing materials must not measure below 35% vlt. ok, I understand that. here is the tricky part, lets say a customer has a vehiclen that came with factory privacy glass on everything behind the driver, of course i would use my 38 on the front roll-ups, but what if they have a model that didn't come with tint, am i still restricted to using 38 on the entire thing?

The iwfa chart says 35 across the board so if they weren't factory dyed, I would say its 35 all the way around

and watch your 38% film.... a lot of vehicles will meter less than 35% net with that film.... you willl need like a 42-45% film to get where you need to go..... thumb.gif

would anybody suggest a good 42-45? what about 40? i have seen a lot of good comments on the suntek carbon around here.

Carbon 45 is a nice looking film, most vehicles it meters 37 to 38 on the glass but looks darker than it really is. I just got some carbon 38 in but haven't used or metered it yet.

Madico also makes a charcool 42 which is pretty nice..

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
