problems with compustar 2000as

While waiting for a new remote from compustar. (I do not have a factory key fob and my keys will only unlock my passenger door). My doors got locked and upon unlocking them it set , my factory theft system off. The only way I could get the car started was to pull one of battery cables to reset the factory theft system. Once I received my replacement remote from Compustar and tried programming it by cycling between the on/off ac position 5 times and get one blink from the parking lights. After I got the one blink I then pushed the lock/unlock button one time and nothing would happen and then a couple seconds later the parking lights would blink twice to exit the programming mode. I tried this numerous times all with the same result. After checking some other functions, I found that nothing is working, IE reservation mode for autostart and so on. I checked all fuses and everything seems fine but none of the features are working and i cannot program my remote. Is there a way to reset the Compustar alarm through the Control Module and if so where would I find it. I don't want to have to take it into a Compustar authorized dealer and pay for an hours worth of tech time to find out it something that I could have done. The car is a Ford Mustang, and any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mayby the wrong remote or the antenna is defective?
