booming area...got alot of competition? dunno.gif
tint whisperer
maybe...only if you wanna come west evilgrin.gif Actually it's settled down a bit. But finding entry level labour is still a problem. Auto competition - tons of hacks popping up in the last 3 years Flat/graphics - only two or three that are worthy, that includes the local hack that bastardizes everything.

How about you? where are you?

Northern New Brunswick. All my real competition have closed down. I am the only actual shop doing tint around here these days and business is great. In fact, this year I have actually turned alot of graphic/sign work away. As much as I hate doing that, I cant find any decent help...seems they all went out west. spit.gif

Actually, ALOT of people from this city/area have headed out your way...seeking their fortune and fame...lol.

So are you guys a franchise ie. Trim-Line or Auto-Trim? or are you on own?

Totally on my own. No nuttin' from noboby but me own nackers (which technically I don't have). Fbigeyes.gif
We have a big nut to crack daily, as I have 10 installers to keep working through the worst of the winter ( Dec/Jan/Feb). I refuse to lay off staff during the winter, I'll need them come spring.

Fort McMurray, where the tar sands are, is called Little Newfieland by the locals. Lots easterners heading our way for the big boom, but no place to sleep since housing can't keep up. The camps are all full.
They (Suncor/Syncrude) have 21 in and 7 out for some of the easterners, and they pay to fly you home and back.

Many restaurants have closed due to lack of staff - entry level. Lots of bribing for talent - welding, hd mechanics, electricians etc.

There have been a few comp's that have tried to start up, but unless you've got the smarts, rep. and good finance, you'll never make it through the winter, which you obviously know about.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
