Pretty much how I looked at it ..although the "lessened learned " not really..it was just a freak thing..what's the odds of getting another car where the factory did 1 seal ..but not all of them

How I handled it was this , I tinted the car, took the time to do the felt and told him it was a judgement call I had to make in his absence of him not calling me back when I left a message.
I told him he can pay the original amount that he expected to pay ,Ill let him off the labour of felting but NO WARRANTY if the felt was to ever let go and gum up his tint or scratch it (I don't see why I should have the possibility of that happening and I have to fix something that I wasn't paid for in the first place to fix. OR he can pay my felt fee per door and I'll gladly warranty it as I normally do (only fair since I was now paid to do the job)
When wording it like that, he was cool and paid the full amount and appreciated the fact that I was willing to let it go for free yet understanding why I wouldn't warranty something I wasn't being paid for. Was happy thay either way, I did the right thing and felted it . I was happy that he paid for the extra work
