guy comes into my shop n' trys stealing from me

Just 2 weeks ago, this guy comes into my shop store front.. I was in the back working. I hear the buzzer go off so hurry with what i'm doing and come out of the bay to greet him. As I walk into the front, the guy asks to use my phone (to call his daughter, local call) So yea I let him use the phone. But then I look around and my digi cam is gone from my front desk, and if it aint there its on the back desk. We'll it wasn't in either spot. I walked around the front counter to take a good look at this guy and i fully notice my camera in his pocket! So I wait till he's done talking and confront him about it. I first ask him if he walked around my front counter into the back area.. he tell me no, I say to him BULLSHIT!! You did walk back here, and you grabbed my camera, didnt YOU!?!? He tell me no, I say to him f**k THAT!! it's in your pocket right now.. he then pulls it out and puts it on my front counter and begins telling me, 'oh i wasn't going to take it, i figured you were a cool guy so i really wasn't going to steal from you I then said, ' so what the f**k dude, what if i wasn't a "cool" guy, you were just going to come into my shop n' try stealing from me!!! He tells me, "but I'm a christian, blahblahblah.... I say, 'what does that have to do with anything!' Then i tell him f**k YOU, he qwickly trys to swing on me, n' pulled back on the punch! Pushed him into my window bars, n' start whaling on him! Few head shots and the guy was down. I grabbed his 2 little bags he had and threw then out the front door and yelled at him, you better get the f**k outta my shop right now! so he gets up, starts to walk out and I punch him again in the back of the neck as he's leaving! lol... kind of funny i guess..

anyway very long story short, guy gets arrested, he had pryors (dr*g dealing, and other thefts), and he had other stolen goods on him.
I looked him up.. he's 6'2 200lbs, and born in '53, guy should've known better..
now I got court on tuesday to testify... kinda bs, cause I'll have to close my doors for half the day.

anyways i hope you guys enjoy that story.

I'd have done the same thing too!! I got security cameras in the front and back of my shop, and just recently I looped one of them to a spare tv and put it in the work area, so now when my door opens the bell rings and I can see who is in the front of my shop without having to stop what I'm doing. Alot of customers walk in and out or have kids who run in or out and everytime I'd have to stop and go check to see if it was a new customer or not.

Gots to protect your neck. Anyone keep a dog at the shop? Not a ghetto ass dog that growls at everyone or anything. I've got the sweetest lil pitbull who just goes crazy for kids and basically anyone who meets her, but shady people always seem sketched out by her.

I have a 4 camera dvr system set up at my shop. I also have a tv in the bay, so I can see whats going on with all cameras.. but I just didn't have the tv turned on that day. I also set it up so anywhere I'm at, if I have a computer, I can go on and view whats going on down here at the shop.

that sounds like the same system I got, I ordered it online about a year ago.

well i had to go to court yesterday about for this. the guy is still pleading innocent. i guess he's going to have to sit in jail untill his next court date, which is about a month away.

I think when I open up I will for sure have to have my dogs and security cameras are going to be installed relatively soon anyways for my dads business. People are stupid now a days.

Funny story ,i dont have customer area but i do keep my dog with me at work(English Bull Terrier)and my personal possesions are above his bed and nobody gets close enough

Good story but my ending would go like this:

I punched him in the OTHER neck!

At my Wifes Office, they have a lobby area, but have to go through a second door to get into the office itself.
They have cameras showing the lobby, and if a person walks in, they also have an intercom.
Fun stuff, see a stranger walk into the lobby, and hear a voice asking "how may I help you?"
Add the intercom in with your security cams. That way, you see them walk in, and they know someone is watching when they hear a voice "I'll be with you in a moment"
Might keepem a LITTLE more honest.

Always have to keep an eye out, been thru that b4, you can always see it in thier eyes, sucks you have to close half a day

update: the guy ended up getting 18 months in prison for this stupid sh!t he pulled at my shop.

Prison...? I would say more like county jail for 18 months. You need to be contacted when this guy gets released...period. Then get a restraining order on him when he does. I would write a letter to his judge and ask for it.....never know he might just come back.

i woundn't have pressed charges.the beatting is good enough.he knows not to come back in your shop.sitting in prison only makes it worse.now you have to watch your back for being a rat.

dont go calling me a rat you fuKK! i beat this guy down in MY shop... now if he's goin to call the cops and report me, i'm f****d! i had to call them first to protect my business. i could really care less about this douche bag getting out of prison (yes prison, not county, hes had manny priors) truth be told, he didn't ************ hahaa wait, i dont feel like sharing the rest of that statement. anyway i had to covor my a$$! i gotta family, a business, and a life to protect. i could have been in serious trouble if this guy would have gotten the jump on contacting the police. once the police cought this theif a few minutes later (with other stolen goods) it was outta my hands, no pressing charges..

I know it's easy to misunderstand or take something wrong in a forum setting, and I think that's what's going on here.

"you say that fag %&$# to my face and i would "smash" you!".

A forum can be a rough place especially if you fly off the handle like this on a misunderstanding.
