juvy home update

i posted a couple weeks ago about a job i was inquired about from a local construction contractor for 8mil on a juvenile detention center. i quoted them at 8 a sqaure with my johnsons and they emailed me back late last week .....

"The owners have selected the 7 mill product from Llumar-The cost difference was very large between their price and your. Thanks"

how much cheaper can you get? there must be some shop out there trying to make a reeeeeeaaaaaal quick dollar. i hope they phuck it all up and it has to be replaced ... if that happens, i just might say screw ya, you shouldnt have been so cheap. you get what you pay for!

Go back and bid it with SunGard, or Global 7 mil. Tell them that you assumed they wanted security and bid the job accordingly but that you can beat the other price. LLumar 7 mil is higher than most other films, but it IS significantly cheaper than 8 mil. (That would be assuming that the "other guy" is actually gonna use 7 mil. LOTS of folks out there who will bid for 7 or 8 mil and install 4 mil)
