How is this amp ?? MTX 3604
I have this amp and it over heats when it is 80degrees out side..

I would step up to 4 gauge and make sure its grounded as close to the amp as posibble with 4 gauge also. Is there good air circulation around amp???? Not stuck in a panel somewhere? Yeah the wiring was smaller like 10.. and it was in a trunk.. But also i think it was a certain freq. cut out.. But have taken it out of the car sold the car so no it is in the garage but will do it that way once I put it in again.. WOW thats the problem, im also assuming there is no cap inline with the wire??? If it were mine, i would run 4 gauge back to a 1 farad cap and call it good.
