Full Version: MaxPro
Recently heard of this new film. I have already read the posts from January on it. Is anyone using it this summer? What are your impressions now that it has been out there. I here it is only available in 60" rolls.
yea, kenny from sunbelt has sent me a sample of it. never had a chance to use it yet. proly just a reboxed film, so who knows what ur getting when it comes to that. i could be wrong though. we all know that there are alot of window film companys, but theres not that many manufactor's
not sure, could be sunbelts house brand
received a sample..shrinks like global, looks like suntek, smells like solar-guard. didn't taste it yet, but very interested in who actually makes it.
If I'm not mistaken, Jack from global in Kentucky had that film made to his own specs.
Haven't seen or tasted it yet, but I have heard it was his....
Jack is a trip, met him at SEMA. I know he dont remember me tho
Jack is an awesome guy. He's been in the industry a long time too.
Having said that. I think I'd rather buy Global from him (made 100% by one company) rather than a MaxPro. QUOTE (darkdan @ Aug 24 2008, 03:41 PM) [*]637896[/*] Jack is an awesome guy. when sungard went belly up, my distributor sold me on this film. i currently use their metal free c plus series. it does only come in 60" rolls, but i usually have it cut down at no extra charge at 24/36. as far as the quality, i think it shrinks great, has a good color, and haven't had anyone come back on it yet. they also have an hp line, tho i haven't tried it.

maxpro is short for ""american made garbage""
global is way better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whats up Gents, my name is pat burke And I have used & currently sell max pro films, max pro is a ground up manufacturer, they started three years ago and have silently building there portfolio of films. All the automotive is ground up Generation 3 dyes (surfboard technology) that is why they can offer a liftime no fade warranty. If you havnt tried it its funny how the masses assume it is reboxed somthing. This film rocks, maybe not for all, I like film that is clear, shrinks off the hook and saves time by actually sticking to the window and matrix, call me strange, it does have a price edge being made in the US and having no worldly shipping issues like some other prodjects I have been involved in (hanita and global). Bill burke the original executive director of the IWFA and is the president of Max Pro. For those of you who dont know of him, in the early 90's Bill as the IWFA rep testified in congress to NHTSSA. In short that is why we still can tint cars because the feds were trying to shut the auto tint market down. That is the original reason for the IWFA was to fight the feds and we won. just wanted to let you guys know whats up with MAX PRO, were arnt going away, there is 7 distributors and growing, most recent is my son (Zach) and I (Pat), we are 3 weeks running in la, Maxpro pacific is the newist on the block of maxpro distributors . Hope you all have a great day, makes somes cash. Hit me back if you all need any info on any of this.
I use the Maxpro, CP on most of my cheaper jobs. not as high quality film as some of the stuff I have. Never had any problems with it, shrinks good as long as you use low heat. lays down nicely. Dont know about longetivity. I do have mine cut 24/36 rolls. So far so good.
Yeah, and for you young bucks that ain't been around long enough to realize all films eventually have issues, they'll glady lifetime warranty a failed auto install with replacement film. Guess you'd that works if you're a transient - mobile tinter.

So, now that's two posts slamming Hanita. How about You let us all know who You are, and what Your agenda is. We know You got beef. Let us know why, before I take the high road.......
Booms QUOTE (Uman Day @ Sep 15 2009, 02:51 PM) [*]716416[/*] MaxPro was the name Clear Defense of Martinsville Va sold their repackaged Hanita products. Don Martin and his sons-in-law was scamming people telling the story how Don Martin was the Inventor of Profilon. Martin had a lot of problems with two guys in California named Brian Dede and Gordon Lee. They paid Martin a LOT of money and Martin was investigated for fraud. The SEC and IRS looked into Martin and his biasness. The business sat still for 4 or 5 years. His daughter Tanya Cockman run's it now. The Hanita 12 mil is called MaxPro CD335. Clear Defense is just another scammer repackaging someone else's product. Clear Defense now hides their 'technical data' stating that its just for customers,or is it to hide the fact that they have nothing special! He used to claim that he makes his own films, gee, how does he do that in that old tire store he calls his 'factory/office'. I like the Hanita product, and I've hung a lot of it over the years, to bad Hanita can be trusted. The lawsuit for IP theft says it all, Hanita will do anything to make a buck, even steal American trade secrets to do so! For more information just Google Hanita Coatings Lawsuit! Its all there! Hey, now that they have to pay out millions of dollars Hanita may be having a discount sale to pay off the court. Good news for all you re-sellers. Too bad your money/profits is going to a company that is based in Israel not in America. But hasn't that always been the problem with us, we want to pay next to nothing and re-sell it at a profit. Good for China, India, Korea, Canada, and Israel, bad for America. Uman i don't think that this is the same as what jack sagar is selling or other maxpro dist.. from info gathered maxpro doesn't have architectural or security films. they just have auto film for now. All I can say as an end user, is that I tried MaxPro dyed film and I liked it, color, clarity, shrinking, I liked everything about it... But I haven't decided to sell it for now. I still use LLulu, 'cause I have the exact thing to say about their films. Plus, from what I see, to the customers that do care about 'what film' they put on their vehicle or home, the LLulu will sell itself just from brand recognition alone... Didn't care for Hanita when I tried it, Global was ok to me, but the orange peel issue kept coming up .... That's my 4cents... QUOTE (Uman Day @ Sep 16 2009, 01:51 PM) [*]716615[/*] What do you have to hide sticking up for someone who cheats? I'm not sticking up for anybody. I'm simply asking You to be forthcoming about who You are and what Your agenda is. Oh, and one more thing....quoting "W" ?
