Two 12 mil layers = 24 mil it´s possible?

Hi there,

is there some one that have done a job with security film 2 x 12 Mil for insite, it´s possible?
I´m not sure because of bubbles or gas, like with polycarbonat windows we don´t put PET film.

It´s a job for a big company, they want the biggest possible film on the glas want it Bomb proof.

Please give me some input, thanx.

We do it every day on cars and have installed up to 4 layers on flat glass, no problem whatsoever....

Ok, i get some add info´s, it dosen´t matter wen you put two PET layers together. There is no "softmaker"? in the film like with polycarbonat or plastic windows that makes these bubbles.

Now i feel better and can sign the contract.

maybe this is his first w/ security film.

we did a plastic surgery boob job office with mad-ic-co 14 on both sides inc/995 but never on the same side. shouldnt be problem, just squeegee the urine out of it.

You´r right this was the first time for me AND all that i know in Germany to realise 24 mil (600 my) on a window to make it bomb prooft.
We don´t have this prob so often.
And if you have seen all the question formulars(25 sites) and penaltys from this big company i think many people will get a little unsave.

The film allone does'nt make it bomb proof.

Just be sure you know what you are selling them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes i know you´r right. But THEY just want the big film on the glas and that´s it. So customers will is my will. But i have it on paper written "it is not bomb prooft". So i hope i´m on the save site with this. But you never know.

I think when you give the customer all this important info´s and he say´s "it´s ok, but..." and you want the job, than ?
We all hope there will never trop a bomb.

I don´t know, but speaking about this stuff makes me feel a little like - "big brother is watching you" so if there is sombody outsite looking here - we are just frindley peoples at work, ok? ;))

I got some good new info to this job. I get one (the first layer) without SR and only the second layer will have it. So these two layers will have a better connection. My manufaktor dit one small serie of this so it will helps me.

Against bombs - better install from two sides, believe me. And it is OK 4 mil from outside....
Our films was tested also by Bundeswer at camp marmal....
