One of my regular customers owns Wicked Works Cycles. He builds high-end choppers. Last week he brought hiw personal bike to me for a seat. It had a cheesy-ass seat on it, that let him slide backwards and he ended up marring the paint. It was a shop near me that years ago had a good reputation. THey sure dropped the ball on this one. I think he didn't like my price on the last seat so thought he'd try someone else. That didn't last long.

I scrapped everything on the seat down to the pan and used composite foam for shaping and sanding, then put a 1/2" layer of sew foam over it to smooth things out. The bike runs about $65k ($12k in the paint), so I got out the shiny leather and added some faux ostrich down the middle. It tied in with the orange whisps in the paintjob, and the gold leafing on the back. I molded the point in the seat to lead up to the globe on the back fender.
