Slow start to the season

I normally shut shop during winter and fire it back up in spring. I have had one enquiry and have not done the job yet, people are very slow in spending in this economy at the moment.
They would rather put fuel in their cars, food in their stomachs not film on their windows!

I normally only operate part time, dont advertise and have a full time job already.
mates
maybe promote the heat reduction from tint therefor save on running air con full time therefor saving lots of fuel ! might convince some people into spending a few hundred now to save more in the long run !

ive got some jobs lined up im only doing it part time now myself but some people are holding off a few weeks for money and such, yeh the economy sucks but wel see what happens i guess play it by year

Im using the time for market research and looking at setting up processes and a workshop for when the pedal does go down, looking at a rent-a-shed but there are none of a decent size that are affordable. Might place an ad in the local rag.
mates
thats a good idea , use the slow time wiselsy so your not wasting it !

as far as looking for sheds , it ihnk your on the money with putting an add in the local paper , see if a business who has a factory too alrge for themselves has shed space , can always knock up some walls and a ceiling inside of it so you maintain a dust free environment , that could work out , but yeh those storage sheds we have them here in aus probably the same thing they are effing tiny only good to store stuff in lol .

drive around industrial estates and see if theres any small factories for rent and any large ones maybe enquire about renting some space , cant hurt !

A good friend of mine just said use my triple bay shed, all it has is his car in it.
Went to SuperCheap Auto and they want a whole heap of business cards, not to install their film but to offer an alternative to annoyed DIY customers.

Been a good week!

super cheap auto thats a good deal , when ig et some cards done i might take some in to my local and i ahve a mate who works at Repco (if you have them in NZ same thing as supercheap)

i also plan to visit all my local mechanic shops with flyers / business cards offering tint removal and R&R and new installs, great for when people come in with bubbled tint and get knocked back on a rego inspection (i hate removing old film but money is money !)

thats a sweet deal to get that work area , im doing mobile and some work from home in 1.5 car garage haha it kinda sucks

When I have to work at home my cutting table fills the rest of the workshop with a metre on one side free.

No wind, hosed off lawn and driveway and pray, then tint.

Its good to have a workshop to use at last!!!! Means no more of the above!

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
