I have 35% tint all the way around my G35 sedan and i got a ticket last week for $125 for having !llegal tint....

I live in minnesota and the limit is 50%. Most cops dont give a sh** but the city i live in is full of people who pay a lot on taxes, with no crime, so cops get bored quickly and enjoy pulling you over for simple things...

Im planning on paying it, i spoke to my doctor today, but he wouldnt comment on my 'headaches in the sun" note on the sheet, so that was a no go (any other way to get a medical exempt??)

If i go to court, will it get lowered?? Idk, it just seems dumb. You can see right threw my tint...

A dude on the local forum got a pic of me while i was getting cited... :(

The law is the law and you have to obey them no matter how silly it may seem! The police will pull you over for probable cause knowing that your tint is to dark and check you out for other things that they can find! If the police officer put a meter on it and wrote down the metered amount and you were over the limit the judge will make you pay the fine!! Sorry dude. sad.gif

He did not meter it though. Does that make a difference??
blade
not really cuz they'll just meter it if you do biatch. then they'll see it's !llegal and you'll still have the ticket. you said yourself you know it's 35. so it's !llegal.

I would suggest you keep it legal...... thumb.gif

If you take it off before you get to court maybe the judge will just give you a warning! I'd make sure you tell him that it's off. Then you'll have to pay to get it put back on , so no matter what your gonna have to pay something!

I would take it off & leave it off, especially in your town which sounds a lot like the town I live in.

The car is parked for the winter and im not about to go pay $150 to get it removed to eff it, i'll take my chances.

That's your call, you asked for suggestions, trying to save you some aggravation.

It seems you had already made your mind up on what you were going to do before you asked for advice. So, why ask??? If you are not going to take the advice, why waste others time? Get the film replaced or removed to show the judge you domething about it or just pay the fine. Simple as that!!!

Unlikely I would guess.
"Judge, since I got this ticket for 70 in a 55, I haven't sped since. Can I just get a warning from you ?"

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
