Full Version: 08 Hyundai Elantra Door Lock "sleep mode"
I am looking for any one that has experience witht he 08 elantra door lock circuits. I installed a Viper 160 with Keyless and Trunk. Everything works fine except when the door locks rest for 2 minutes they will be unresponsive to the viper remote. The remote start will still work, just the door locks will "sleep". I have seen other vehicles sleep before, but never just the door lock circuits. I tried everything possible with the factory alarm and disarm and still no luck. Any one have anything on this topic?
My wiring digram says nothing about "sleep mode" where did you get the wires?
POWER LOCK GREEN (TYPE B) in DRIVERS KICK PANEL or BCM, WHITE 20-Pin Plug, Pin 3, POWER UNLOCK YELLOW (TYPE B) in DRIVERS KICK PANEL or BCM, WHITE 20-Pin Plug, Pin 11 But I will keep looking.
Trigger the key sense wire and it will wake up.

You are saying diode isolate the lock and unlock wires, set them up for double pulse, and send a positive to the key sense every time I press lock or unlock? Have you done this with this specific vehicle with sucess? Thanks for your help. I got them from the Drivers Kick. Green Lock Yellow Unlock. I tried the factory arm and disarm wires as well and sat on tech line going over all the options with no luck. You need a relay and two diodes. Connect as follows: relay pin 85 to lock (-) from RS pin 86 to +12V cut the black/orange wire and connect pin 30 to the door harness side pin 87 to green lock wire in the vehicle unlock (-) from RS to yellow/green unlock with a diode (cathode to RS) unlock (-) from RS to pin 87a of relay and to the connector side of orange/black wire with a diode (cathode to RS) The three wires are in a grey connector at the drivers kick panel.
Try the setting it up as double pulse unlock and that should work

That looks new! Thanks I will try that. We have tried everything else, so hopefully this is the one. If you don't mind I got one more for you..... 2003 GMC Envoy XL Using a Viper 160XVL with an XK01 Firmware AMDL6. What is happening is the XK01 is communicating weird with the factory system and the delayed door locking is kicking in any time you turn off the key and exit the vehicle. 5 seconds after the ignition is turned off and the door closed you get 3 chimes then the doors auto lock. I looked for new firmware for the XK01 and when I went to Xpresskit they don't list a bypass for the Envoy XL only for the Envoy. Same thing with Bypass Kit. Any experience on how to make it work?
I dropped Xpresskit last year because of a ton of issues with the XK01 and XK04 losing programming, wild door locks and heated accessories jumping on and off.
I'm using idatalink modules now and have never had a problem. If you have a programmer cable get the ADS-DL or ADS-AL CA, if you don't have a cable get the ADS-DLSL GM1 or the ADS-DLSL GM and the problems will go away. http://www.idatalink.com/searchresult.php?...&f=PL,WD,PG
