see if it's a machine curl.
do this by cutting out 5 ft. out of box- then let it hang down to the floor.
if the film curls at the bottom(bottom edge pointing up) this is what is known as machine for manufacturer. this happens when they are laminating and tensions are off.
this is not acceptable, return it and get a new box with different roll number.

Thanks did that and it rolled up about 1ft.Called man and they said they have not heard of this before. Looks like we are checkingon this

if you are using the standard it will curl switch to the carbon, no more worries............FYI it's Suntek

i hate it when manufacturers make you feel your the only one have a problem. when they made a master roll and sold everywhere. soo everyone else-is the only one have the problem.

The Carbon I am using is curling also. I called the distubator and they said that there is a problem and they are working on it. Once it set it is fine, it is just the hour or two after install is the problem.
thatsnappyguy
i had a problem the other day and just a few times b4 that with the carbon. the sides were rolling off after install which causes it to suck up dirt and ruin the whole job. i have a friend that also been having some problems with the same film. it doesnt happen alot but when it does its not nice.
OCC
I dont know may be the waeather, climate dunno.gif but that is all I use and have never had that problem

"I have never heard of that before" and "Sounds like an installer error" are the two phrases that EVERY CSR is required to learn to say at the manny's employment orientation!!!!! Has been like that forever!!!

There is no "checking on that". The manny just makes a note to not sell YOU anymore of that run......lol

well~ i used to have problems with the static.. every time i cut film i get zapped by it and seems like becuz of the static
it curled back too. one o the reasons y i stopped using suntek's..carbon..even tho i really liked their quality.
mates
my carbon has been curling too its mainly only affecting me when rolling out of the box and cuttin on the car , i double cut so whilsts i spray and get film ready to go for 2nd layer it curls and i fight trying to stop it falling off the car.

be good if they can stop it but if they cant no massive deal. only had one instance where its curled off after installed on a frameless but i heated the glass then hard carded it and it sat down

I got a sample roll of carbon from them about 3 months ago and it was curling bad. Also the SR was way too soft. My buddy got a sample roll from them about two weeks ago and same thing. I seriously dont know what all the Suntek fuss is about dunno.gif
Dmsee
Suntek the worst film ever
Many callbacks for it curling off
Back to Llumar!
Sprinter
no curling when shrinking but carbon on any matrix area just doesn't want to stay put. no problems with the HP
Texastintchick
Yep the carbon is having issues grinning_and_saying_no.gif drives me nuts.... I love the film but it is curling like crazy after install! tantrum.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
