Has anyone ever had a problem with customers complaining that headlights are reflecting through the tints, causing problems when driving. We used Lummar AT-20
He wants his money back, what should I do??

Do you mean reflections through the defroster lines in the rear glass ?? If so, that's just the nature of the beast, nothing you can do about that...
TINTZEUS
Sounds like the defroster lines...thats common for people who have never had tint befor. If he's that unhappy I would remove the film and give him his money back( deduct for removal). I'v done it befor.

That sucks.

Also let him know that ANY film he chooses to use will do that

I dont think you should give a refund, provided that you installed the tint correctly. What if everyone decided they didnt like it and wanted a refund??? would you refund everyone? Your materials and labor shouldnt be free. He may be pulling a scam trying to get you to just give him some money back. and If he really doesnt like tintI would you count on him being a repeat customer anyway.

some times if the rear window is at an angle you get light bouncing off the defrosters especially if they are thick wires. Just tell them once it drys properly in 3-4 weeks it will be reduced. Ususally people stop bitching about there tint after a week until they find some thing else to bitch at.

Give every customer a Tint care and cleaning sheet, its not going to stop every stupid complaint but it does help explain to customers the nature of window tint and certain unavoidable side effects of the product.....

I had the same complaint from a customer with an 09 Cadillac CTS-V done in CH 20. On the RO the customer requested medium, which is 20%. A few days later the dealer called me to schedule another appointment for the same car. The custy said it was too dark, you could see glare from the rear deck during the day and the defroster lines 'shined' at night. Of course it was the first tinted car for the custy and I had to tell him, 1-you chose the film, 2-your car's interior and rear deck is tan, so yes you might see some glare and 3-the shining lines at night are standard with any tint. I told the finance manager and he said go ahead and do it and bill us. I re tinted it with CH35 and the dealer was stuck with a $575 bill. I guess they got quite a bit from the custy for the tint in the first place because they didn't complain when I submitted my bill.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
