Hey fellas,

Just trying to find out some information. Is the SolarGard Supreme series scratch resistant/proof? Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thank you.

The film has a hardcoat to protect from scratches. Is it scratch proof... no. What kind of issues are you having?

it is scratch resistant like most films, but will scratch easily if you try to.

I use Supreme and HP Supreme as my main lines, and just like any other film on the market it has a scratch resistant coating on it. I haven't heard of any issues with my customers with it scratching, and it doesn't scratch at all when installing like some films do if your not careful.

bingo.gif I've used that film before and never had issues with it scratching! It is a plastic material and there is no auto film to my knowledge that is scratch PROOF!

The IWFA will drop you as a member if anyone states a film is "x" PROOF.

almost any good film will have a scratch resistant coat, however, although these films tend to be very strong and in some thick (2mil,1.5,1mil) it will not hold up to metal scratches, seat belt nicks, some kid toys, sharp objects, get my drift? they will not however scratch by rolling up and down windows, although some cars require felt, if not applied some rubber seals with scratch tint because they're made out of plastic which will accumulate dust, whatever in the rubber molding/seal. thus causing film to scratch. so the ideal thing for you to do is ask a direct question to what it is that youre looking for or to find out. icon_mrgreen.gif
