Ford Focus 5 door 2005 reg (uk spec)

Hi all,


Just a quick question ive got a Ford focus 5 door 2005 reg in on tuesday anything i need to know ? I have heard that taping the felt is best for a clean job but what tape does everone use ? Any advice would be great.

It was a US model, don't know what the diff. is???

I wouldnt have thought they would be too much different did you tape the felt trims ? What tape do you use ?

You mean tape them to prevent contamination??
If so, yes and with 1.5 inch painters tape..

I also give them a shot with compressed air to get the loose fibers out.
Do that before anything...

Yeah thats what i meant to keep contamination to a minimum thats cool.I havent got compressed air but never mind il give them a good flush out then tape them.Thanks for the reply are the seals nice to slide behind or do you pull the panels ?

tape them first or tape wont stick an give good flush just before instal.

real easy car u should have no problems

Got the job done not to bad just a bit of a pain with the contamination from the seals but the customer was happy so its cool.
