85 chevy truck

when tinting these do you guys take the little latch apart before tinting? if so how do you get it apart? it has a roll pin in it holding the mechanism together but it looks corroded and i dont want to tap on it trying to get it out and break the window. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Because of it's age and condition, I wouldn't attempt to take it apart.

I pull them if I can. If you have a "pin press" it would make things a lot easier on you. I did one about 2 months ago and couldnt get it off, but it turned out really nice afterwards. You have to use your circle template or cut it out the old fasion way. Cut an "X" over the button, and carefully trim around it. It will take quite some time to get it perfect.
