Hi all just curious, would a ebay cutter do the job of just using tint tek 20/20 and just cutting pattern no fancy graphics etc? The only problems I have heard is with weeding and cutting fancy graphics etc with the ebay units.
Thanks

More touble than its worth. Plotters/software only offer savings regarding aggravation of cutting patterns, and are usually not as nice as hand cut. Also they are nice when covering factory shaded glass and cutting patterns are a little harder/time consuming than normal. Otherwise, why get away from handcutting? If you go on the cheap the headaches will offset any advantage. Buy a work horse long term plotter. twocents.gif

bingo.gif Get yourself a nice plotter like a Roland. You can even get a used one that's nice and if it has problems it's a plotter that's easy to get parts and have serviced! The cheaper version plotters will cost you more aggrivation than there worth!!!

I have a cheap (Master) cutter from Ebay. I wouldn't want to use it to cut full patterns for side or back windows. I use it for tint graphics but you have to leave plenty of extra material on the sides or you'll get marks from the pinch rollers.

If you're going to use a plotter for cutting tint patterns I'd spend the extra money on a good name brand.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
