The way it is made there is no need to remove the gakets or panels. The bottom gasket will not need to be tucked either, there is plenty of room to take the film below the threshold. Piece of cake no need to worry.

and if you wanna remove the gasket there's only 3 10m bolts to remove and the panels pops right off.
oh no.....wait, on the 09's there are 5 10m bolts i believe. either way the panels pop right off.
youre right the silverados have 5, the tahoes have 3

Is it me or is the 09 more panel puller frendly??had to pull panels on one last week for graphics and the bolts go back in. On the older ones that thing that the bolt screws into would always be loose and move.
Awesome thanks for the help guys I appreciate it..
We always tape those "that thing the bolt screws to" before putting back on the panels. We notice the Escalades dont shift and fall. Different assembly line?

if your having a problem with the "things the bolts screw into" just pull them out and squezze them together with pliers. that tightens them up so they will hold there place. A real pita if you don't do it that way.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
