why don't you go put some tint outside of a back glass!

I would go with 40. You can split it down the middle for your roll-ups.

i was leaning towards that but the price seem pretty similar if you were to buy 20 or 40, there wasn't a big difference in price(10 dollar difference) .

There should be a larger price spread from 20" to 40"

you are right, i'm trying to say is, if you bought a 40" to cut and half vs just buying two 20" and exactly the same. is there pro and con between the two?

you can always put the 20 in your film stretcher if you need a wider width... Flaugh.gif

Between two 20's or one 40, go with the 40. If you have the option for a 36, i would recommend that. It might be slightly cheaper and you can do most cars with it.
thatsnappyguy
36 works on just about every back glass. you never orderd film b4? suntek usually give 20% off on your first order. just saying...if you want to save money, thats a great way to start. dont waste your savings though, you can only save that the first time, so order alot to make it worth it. just to be safe, i would get a 40" roll of all the shades that you want. maybe a 24" roll of 20% for the trucks.
simpson
36" is all I use. You waste less than with using 40" rolls.
thatsnappyguy
there are a few back glasses that can not be completely covered with a 36 "

Same here, but some vehicles need a 40", for instance a 92 camaro.

Force, have you tinted anything yet?

Most mannys don't give discounts on the bigger rolls. Usually, 20"=x, 40"=2x, and 60"=3x. They don't give you a quantity discount. You're getting the same amount of film, just in a more convenient size. Sometimes it costs more than double a 20" for a 40"
forcefedm3
thanks guy, this is really great info!

i never order tint before but i just order a lot of tools from stan.

Go with a 36". Most cars you can do the doors with an 18" roll. If you want, add one box of 20" just in case cuz some truck and suv doors are gonna be over 18

if your going to go over 18", you minas well get 24". Most full size trucks(fords, dodge, chevy) are over 20". Chevy are just a tiny bit, but still taller. 20" vs. 18" really is not difference. If you can't get it with 18, you probably can't get it with 20.

You must not do many dodge or Ford trucks. Order a 24" sir so you can cover the larger truck glasses.
Yes I know you can turn the 36" sideways but it might save him a little greif twocents.gif

now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
