Security film on cargo van

Custom Search

Mr paladin
OK if you were to install security film on a cargo van What would you use as an anchoring system 4 the 2 side and 2 rear cargo doors if they are urethaned in and can not be removed to tint ? I understang the window frame would act as a anchoring system for the front roll ups.

Tint as much of the glass as you can on the inside of the door and run a big 'ol bead of 995 around the perimeter to lock film to metal surround... dunno.gif

What about just putting the "cage" on the inside of each rear window...or is that a no b/c of reduced visibility?

yep, burgular bars on the inside. undo the drag links so the locks and key wont open the door, put actuators in with a remote to lock/unlock. drill a 1/8 hole on the top of the door frame between the lip and rubber gasket. run a stainless cable or wire from the door lock up through the top of the door with a loop on the end and glue it to the door between the rubber and frame so all you see of the wire is a small peice of the loop that only you know is there. keep a pic tool in a magnetic box under the truck some where incase of an emergency so you can unlock the door manually. when i used to do alarms we sold a lot of these to tradesmen who were sick of getting ripped off. had a few come back over the years and show us where the bad guys tried to pry the locks with no success. even the front doors wont open when done properly.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
