Thanks QUOTE (Djkyle65 @ May 7 2009, 05:29 PM) [*]685098[/*] So i tired to do an eyebrow on my truck today (98 chevy silverado) and it seemed like the window had a large enough curve that it would not lay correctly do i just wet shrink it? Will it make the curve look stupid? Thanks usually I do a quick wet shrink on it. Maybe 10 little fingers that pop up, cut and slap it up.
Screw that, lay it up, pull it tight and squegee. If fingers pops up, use a heat gun on the inside. Cake.
There are some fingers on that one but I just lay it and use the hard card wrapped with a towel to take out the fingers. no heat.
i just did about a 10 in brow on a 95 chevrolet today, piece of cake....no fingers, no shrinking, no heat. Not sure why everyone elses is fingering up. i never have trouble on any chevy's
yeah...some chevys rearview mirrors are so low you dont even need to cut around them. Piece of cake and money in the bank
brow's are so eazy and quick extra money, most of the time they can be done in less than 15 min
What is the height of the windshield strip at the ends. you are attempting to apply?

Measure, cut, or load plotter, cut, clean glass, and install then a final clean....I want to see 5 minutes!
funny.i was gonna ask this q about brows..im having the same problem.i have to always shrink.and that doesnt work.i get huuuuuge fingers...someone should def post up a vid
I usually always shrink them a little, it's kind of like snapping a door glass, just so I don't have to, mess with fingers inside, they tend to pop up and pull all that headliner junk down with them...
Not THE way, just MY way... Usually on the 90s dodge trucks for me. Usually on the 90s dodge trucks for me. thats funny that you said that cause i did a legal brow for a customer on friday that had a 96 dodge truck, headliner was all dried up and it was horriable to keep clean and not get the crust of the headliner from getting on the film. but i did it legal, it may have been 3-4 in at the mirror and then tappered to 6" on the sides. i hate seeing brows out there where they are straight across, they look so gay but i see if they are wanting to keep it legal and as low as what they can get by with. Measure, cut, or load plotter, cut, clean glass, and install then a final clean....I want to see 5 minutes! I think it depends on the car. The ones with 2 as1 marks makes measuring fast and easy. I could certainly believe him if he was using a plotter. I hate doing eyebrows, but im not sure why. They are typically very easy, extra money, and we use whats left from a bg to do them in most cases.
just spray your windsheild with your spary bottle and lay the film on it measure both sides equal not to pass the as1 markes and the cut and then slide the film down to he bottom of the matrix with out any light gaps and the heat shrink the finger out and then clean window on inside and peal liner and install film
there you have visor strip 101
