1993-1998 Nissan Quest

Practicing on my friends 1993 Nissan Quest and just can't seem to get the BG in one piece. I'm using Solargard Quantum 35, and dry shrinking per mdog's soap method. All goes well until the last 2 inches near the top & bottom edge. By then, the remaining film looks crumpled like cellophane paper, and it's hard to lay flat. Should I use a non-metallic film or do I just suck a$$? Please tell me the latter. I'm so tempted to throw in the towel and two piece this sucker...

Quantum is a bitch to shrink (doesn't hold up very well either in my experience), but ya, you still suck. spit.gif Just kidding!

You might as well shrink cardboard instead of quantum.

That's the bastage! Thanks for dangling the carrot.
For a beginner like me, I need all the variables in my favor. It's nice to know that the film is not helping my lack of skills.
Unfortunately, my friend supplied the roll of Quantum so it's my first time working with it. I remember feeling the thick film, looking at the BG and thinking, "crap."

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
