Full Version: Chrysler 300 door seals
Got one of these left in the unit for tomorrow, 22 inch rims etc looks nice! Right i have had a read up and you guys say the seals come out easy without door card removal. I normally pull the panals but will leave them if its easy. Quick heads up how do they pull out? I know with a MK4 golf one screw peel them back at the top and pull the strips etc. Whats the correct way with the 300 any screws to undo, top pulled away etc? Many thanks guys
Seems like there is a screw in the door handle pull that we usually take out... unless i'm thinking charger..
Peel top of door panel back a touch with window down.. and snatch the seal out... Tape felt Drop bombs QUOTE (shadowline @ Jun 4 2009, 02:50 PM) [*]692379[/*] Got one of these left in the unit for tomorrow, 22 inch rims etc looks nice! Many thanks guys just like the charger. pull the top back corner of the panel back and reach in with a hook tool and pull em out. You can remove the screw behind the handle, but its not necessary, they flex a lot. to put em back in, spray the inside of their channel with slip and slide the front in first. Best to pull the screw as pulling on the top edge too much can leave them wavy looking and it's pretty noticeable. takes seconds to remove the screw and give yourself that much extra play to work with. If it's a year with a deck mounted brake light, the bulldozer can get behind the light no problem.

Had a quick look at the brake light b4 i left, lots of room between the glass so will leave the deck in place, which screws are best then to undone to aid in pulling the strips then? Sorry havent got the card in front of me
We just pull the middle of the door panel back and pulll them up. No need to remove the screw unless you just want to
i don't remove the screw. just pull back and yank the seal out.

Like I said, you can pull it back and get it out, buuuuuuuuut, the couple seconds it takes to remove the screw goes a lot farther towards making sure the panel stays nice and straight like new, no waviness.
no tools needed. These gaskets come out easier than any other car i do like this.
Roll the window down, pull back on the panel about where the door lock plunger thing comes out at and pick it out. The top of the panel is very flexible. You can get one of these things out in literally 2 or 3 seconds. QUOTE (Mdog @ Jun 5 2009, 01:33 PM) [*]692622[/*] no tools needed. These gaskets come out easier than any other car i do like this. back window bit tight round break light found it hard to get but did in end
dont remove any screws. that car is too easy, dont add steps. SOMETIMES u can tuck the film behind the brake light if u give the deck a good yank just like the CTS and pull it towards the front of the car. i usually just cut around the light though, its easier than fighting it. you can remove the back deck to get behind the light, but its not such a walk in the park to get that back seat out.
tryed taking it out but give up not fussed on taking stuff apart that i know very little about, got it in anyway
There was no need to pull the rear deck, slide the film behind the light no worries. Turned out nice, it was the 5.7 Ltr Hemi 22inch wheels, Startech (i think that was the name) exhaust and lighted door seals with "startech" logos, will post some pictures tomorrow when he collects it, i love the door seals if only every car was that easy!!
