Full Version: IS250 convertible

VIP tint + glass
little difficult. pulled front panels and tucked the quarters. fronts and quarter need mad shrinking. doors have a black border on the side. no need to trick doors, they stay up as long as the quarter is rolled up. the quarter is curvy and has a plastic box in one of the corners, its pretty easy to cut around though. installed the backglass with the window half way down. it has a border all the way around.

so in a way its not too bad of a car just took a while, it being the first one.

pics to come later

just did another one today, this one was black. and the damn window wouldnt stay up when the convertible was stopped half way. it was still easy but a little hard to get to. ill post pics when i get time, sorry
dunnojack
so where are the pics?

do you dry/soap shrink the roll ups?

I'm thinking about getting my lexus redone to get rid of the ghosting. it also has curvy rollups
maybe those noob tinters know how to tint it now....

ceramic tint is not about going slow, but shrink technique, right?

ceramic shouldn't take longer than regular dyed ?
blade
why would you care how long it takes compared to other films? it's the end result you should care about.

because the dude who did my tint said they have to "go slow" on the ceramic.

but i see people on here curling and other stuff, and laying tint down quick, and it turns out great.
VIP tint + glass
yeah u do have to go slower and a lower temp on ceramic.

sorry bout the pics, ill load them today.

i actually do soap dry shrink vette and bug doors.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
