I've had enough of this sungard shadow

hi, I recently moved from Europe to Canada. I was mostly using Lumar AT series films, which I was quite pleased with. after settling on this side, for pure convenience (distributor near by), I went with sungard shadow serie. what a pain to work with that stuff. close to half of my roll must have ended up in the garbage. I hate the way it shrinks (or doesn't!), I get tiny creases (liner quality maybe) that look like hair line once on the window, once in contact with the window there is no slip, stopped using squeegees with handles cause the film did not seem to handle it and last but not least have the hardest time to get a clean edge on back windows. I'M DONE! anyone else encountered the same type of annoyance? thanks for sharing your experience and giving me same heads up on different makes.

I have made a good living off of it too. From redoing alot of cars with Sungard. I can't remember which line the guy used at my dealers. Think it was an HP line. I've had to redo at least 100. They all did the same thing. Back window would finger on the sides and ofcourse the pressure marks on the top of the rollups.

Pressure marks on top edge of rollups, that's more than just a SunGard problem. I've seen that with Solar-Guard, SunTek, Lulu, etc. especially if the film was shaved.

My experience on this forum is that the faithful Sungard "fan base" will nearly incite a riot if you even remotely talk against it. They are incredibly loyal - which puzzles me. I'm no SunGard groupie, and they slammed me once for only sharing what I had heard, which I had to carefully retract as only "hear-say"

sun guard does kinda suck.expensive.hard to shrink.and you have to buy a minimum quarter rollat least.let say color film is not really popular.a cusotmer call you up and wants his car tinted yellow.may be one in million.you have to go there to buy a quarter roll of that yellow film.then what?take all your space.that s ridiculor.

A month late to the party, but I'm having the exact issues with LLumar ATC film recently. Didn't happen a year ago and now it's almost every install.

I don't get it....tried a sample of the "all new" Black Lava, didn't like it. First of all,if it's all new, why does it have that smell? You know, the same "Sungard" smell, smells just like the old glue. Second, it didn't shrink that well, I don't see doing a bug in one piece with it (maybe). So, what is it???
