Guys,

I am new to the residential flat glass business...what tool do u guys recommend for applying the 8mil tint...i.e to squeegee or press down on the film so that i get the best application and i dont tear the film...

thanks,
rorschach
I would recommend you practice with some 8mil if you have never installed it before. Talk to your film rep and see what they can show you. Some of the good suppliers have decent tutorials on their websites that will lead you in the right direction. Be careful or you could get yourself in a big mess! Practice, practice, practice!

did you ever use the modus d (sp?) attachment for the bluemax? was like a handle you screwed onto the unger handle for leverage. much more trouble than it was worth. the thor reminds me of the orange crush handle without the extension on the end. i love tint tools.

Yes I have 2 of them and they do not get used.

The blue max works well. I use power squeege blades in an unger handle

I put a stick in the end for leverage and lift up on the end to create even angle 45 degrees on each side like this

It pushes more water with less effort

to all the responses...thank you!!! The guys at 44tools.com were quite helpful in selecting the most used tool which is the blue max grip...the thor handel looks quite interesting!!!!

I will let you guys know how it works out for.....One more thing from experience would you agree with LLUMAR being the best product out there versud 3M, Solarguard etc...

Thanks
