thi
thats a very good idea.
I shove a broom handle on the end of my 6" triumph scraper. Works like a charm.
We use the "stubby " Unger with the open end grip on a pole.
One of our former installers found out the hard way why that little hole on the side needs a screw in it to keep the scraper on the end of the pole. It seems the scraper jammed into the edge of the frame and stayed. So thinking not so clearly he swung the pole at the scraper to knock it loose. Came loose alright. It fell down onto his face. He now has a scar on his eybrow and cheek. Dude needs a stupid heart not a purple heart. I hope your modded tool has some manner of securing it. On some of our mods to poles like your set up we not only crimped the end on but drilled it out for a small carriage bolt and nylon lock nut. Yes it has a nut and bolt at the end you can kind of see it in the pic and I also ground it down a little so there were no threads sticking out past the nut.
