We just launched this site to give you a great option regarding tools. Many of you know me from the industry and have purchased tools from me in the past. I would like to invite you to check out my new tool site that offers great selection, terrific prices and is focused on unparalleled customer service. Check us out today at www.Zoladist.com. Hope to see you there! FYI, this is from the "About Us" page of the website. "Welcome to Zola Distributing. After nearly a decade in the window film and tool business, I decided to create a tool shopping experience that incorporates everything I have learned about the industry and the desires of the people within it. The first thing that I did was to create an infrastructure that would allow me to offer my customers the most competitive prices in the industry. With the current state of the economy, I know that every Dollar counts and I am committed to bringing you the best overall value for your hard earned money. I will also be working with the tool manufacturers to offer you regular special pricing on the most popular items. If you ever feel that our price is out of line on any item, please let me know and we will look into it to determine what adjustments can be made. The next thing that I made a priority at Zola Distributing was customer service. There is no excuse for poor or indifferent customer service and I am committed to making Zola Distributing the standard in customer service by which all others are judged. Finally, I wanted to give back to the industry by using the Zola Distributing website along with my blog www.elevateyourperspective.com and the Linked In Window Film Professionals group to add value and help educate the industry. There are many changes happening within the industry and in the economy in general that I want to help you exploit. I am also interested in helping this industry to grow so that all participants benefit. Because of this, I plan to donate a portion of all profits from Zola Distributing to organizations that can help grow this industry. I hope that you enjoy your visit to the site and find all the tools that you are looking for. Please send us any feedback that you might have whether positive or negative. We are committed to constant improvement and your feedback will help us achieve that."

Thank you for all the inquiries regarding Zola Distributing. One clarification that I wanted to make to avoid confusion is that we currently are only operating in the United States. We have not set up our e-commerce site to allow for international orders. I appologize for the inconvenience and any confusion, but we wanted to stay focused on the US market at the present time. We may expand at some point and we will let you know. Once again, thank you to everyone that has contacted us. We are humbled by the support and positive encouragement.

Hey Patric....a couple of years back I was given a sample sprayer.....it was a big yellow gooseneck trigger sprayer that would spray like two gallons of water a pull! It also had VERY easy trigger action, and lasted Me for about a year. I can never find the right combination of high flow/light trigger pressure sprayers. Those green sprayers suck almost as bad as the Home Depot ones. Also, what about finding a good, ergonomical 1" scraper that will last for more than two weeks? Those gold button ones suck too! Just a few suggestions. The site looks good!

Just a few suggestions. The site looks good! Thanks for the compliment on the site. The issue that you describe with the trigger sprayers is a common one. Did the sample that you have fit a standard 32 oz. bottle? If so I think I know what you had. The issue with these is always trying to get something durable that is still inexpensive. Many installers drop these or break them in a variety of different ways, so they so not want to spend much money on a more premium unit. I will look into it and see if we can bring something to the market that is more premium that what everybody is offering without being too pricey. As far as the 1" scraper. There is one that looks like the gold button one, but has more of an hour-glass body shape. Have you tried one of these? I also know of some that have a plastic/urethane body with that ergonomic hour-glass shape. The ones that I am thinking about are inexpensive also. At most, I think they might be $2.00 instead of the $1.15 of the gold button. Of course, you always have this as an option: http://www.zoladist.com/p-42-1-allpro-mini-scraper.aspxIt is cheap and many people like holding onto this instead of the larger gold button unit. I will let you know what I can find out on these fronts. Great feedback. Thanks for looking at the site. Please contact me with any other questions or feedback!

http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=prod...&lpage=none scraper..made of plastic and wont rust. [/quote] Sweet! Thanks for posting. That is kind of like the hour-glass one that I was mentioning in my follow-up. I have traveled to large hardware show looking for tools for this industry and you would be amazed at just how many styles and shapes there are of a simple 1" scraper. You could actually make a catalog of just 1" scrapers if you wanted! If everyone likes this style from Lowes, that would be easy to get and offer. QUOTE (Cuttingedge @ Aug 1 2009, 10:18 PM) [*]707088[/*] Patrick,
Did you run 44tools at one time? Do you guys still get along? Just curious, not trying to start anything. No problem Cuttingedge, it is a fair question. I was the with Performance Films and Performance Tools (44Tools) for 8 1/2 years. My title when I left was Director of Sales & Marketing for Performance Distributing (both companies). I was instrumental in starting 44tools and was the main person that many of you spoke with over the years or met with at SEMA. The actual company is owned by George Lewis and he has been in the film business over 30 years I think. I left that company about 1 year ago to pursue the opportunity run National Glass Service Group. There were a variety of factors involved in this move that would be inappropriate to get into. As far as getting along with them, I still have friends that work for that company and I have no hard feelings. I cannot speak for the anyone there, but I tried to leave on good terms. It was just time for me to move on and have an opportunity to grow in my career. I initially did not plan on getting back into the tool business, but then people began asking if they could purchase tools from me. I was also forming many new relationships with the installers that were completing jobs for National Glass Service Group. In addition, just because I am no longer at 44tools does not mean that my flow of ideas on how to run and grow that business have stopped. I still am coming up with new ideas nearly every day on how to make Zola Distributing better and how to service this industry at a higher level. So, to make a long story short, I decided to start Zola Distributing to service the clients that had asked to buy tools from me and the installers that I was sending jobs to. In the end, it made no sense to not open Zola Distributing up to the entire industry. I know that Zola Distributing will inevitably affect 44tools, and other tool distributors, but that was not my purpose for starting the business. I just felt that I still had things to offer to this industry and ideas that I wanted to cultivate and share. I am not positive what the sentiment about me at 44tools is today. I do know that I can hold my head high and know that I did many good things during my employment there and would hope that I would be remembered for those things. As I mentioned in other posts, I am trying to be as transparent as possible, so please at any time feel free to ask questions of this kind. Business is based on a trust of who you are dealing with. If I cannot provide logical and reasonable answers to questions posed of me, then why would you trust me. I hope that answers the question as fully as possible. If you want any clarification, please let me know.
