Full Version: Has anyone heard of Black Max tint?
ok guys, so I went to a well known tinting shop in Houston called Executive Tint/Executive Motoring that was recommended by a Lexus dealership and they showed me different types of tints, which one of them was called Black Max. I've never heard of it, but the reason I chose to use that was because of the heat rejection that was shown to me with the heatlamp and whatnot. The specific model I chose was Black Max Titanium. Has anyone heard of it? and if so, is it good? I got the legal tint up front which is 35 i believe and 20 for the other windows. Page where they advertise it.
WTF $75 i hope thats for 2 fronts
They'll beat a price or pay you a g note
i would like to hear what BS they use to bump up the price from $75 . Tell us what the pitch is?
Damn $75 is what we charge for two fronts with Lulu ATR.

THE ONLY DIGITAL CUTTING SYSTEM IN HOUSTON!
Free...tint enhancer and promotor with every tint installation. WTF
actually i do have a written warranty. I did ask about that 75 dollar tint for the same reason you guys find it shady and they mentioned that it was some other brand tint. So no one here has heard of the brand Black Max?

So no one here has heard of the brand Black Max? no..i have not heard of it...im going to guess is it a rebox tint that he got really cheap..by the price he is giving it out for..and i wouldn't trust it. something that cheap you are getting what you pay for.
no that was for another tint. I think the 3M tint that they had was also cheaper. The tint i got was for 220 or something like that but i got it reduced to 200. I chose not to get the cheaper tint for that reason that you pay what you get for. I've had friends who have gotten that particular tint before and had no problems. I have just never heard of that brand though.
i actually have heard of blackmax tint. and its great. it was introduce to me when i was in miami and its great. I paid $350 when i lived there but when i moved to houston, i came to executive. my girlfreind actually told me to go there after i purchase a is350 and i got the best one and is great. my car is so much cooler now. i would' n pay $75 for tint. i don't want my tint to turn purple.
If its a Titanium film on a newer Lexus you might run into interference issues. I've seen a HP film (one with metal in it) cause a line to run across the navi screen. Great heat rejection in titanium films but they can cause issues with radio reception, tire pressure monitors, keyless entry range, navigation, bluetooth. You will primarily see issues with AM reception and navi though.

Them and Tint Houston(www.tinthouston.com) hmmmmmm their sites seem eerily similar also, for a true 3m film, it would cost a LOT more than what you paid for it. So if their selling it as 3m, its definately not. I wouldn't trust anything they say, because they also claim to be the only plotter system in houston, which is farrrr from true.
