Great news coming out of Pentagon Protection Plc in the UK.

Pentagon Protection Plc’s business unit SDS has recently formed a partnership with Frost & Sullivan to address hotel security issues in the wake of the Jakarta and Mumbai incidents. This will be a top down security program that plans to eventually impliment a hotel safety rating system. This is great news for our industry as these security measures will undoubtedly include window films. Read more about it here:

Pentagon Protection Plc is an installation company in the UK that has done security film work all over the world. They have a division of their company called SDS that consults and sells all forms of physical security equipment and devices to embassies, airports, etc. SDS just formed a deal with Frost & Sullivan that is a well respected company that does work similar to a JD Power. Frost & Sullivan is looking to spearhead a hotel safety program throughout the world that would address the increased need for safety in hotels. The recent attacks in Mumbai and Jakarta only serve to reinforce this need. This relates to our industry because one of the basic security products that will be discussed and implemented at these hotels would be window film. So, if this team is working with the major hotel groups around the world, it is reasonable to assume that the amount of film being installed at these hotels will increase. This is good news for the entire industry that represents new business that did not exist before.

I am not sure what that means, but it sounds funny none the less. If you are wondering why I am involved with Pentagon Protection Plc in the UK, I serve on their Board of Directors. I do not own any shares in the company and I do not serve in any executive position. That is why I forwarded Leo's info on. I am an non-executive board member.

Geoff is working as a marketing consultant for the Plc, but if you want to work with SDS you need to contact John Wyatt.
