OK are you looking to go mobile, get a unit. Most of all how much money do you have to put into the venture now?? This is a big factor, if its a few hundred quid it wont be enough
uktintman
Not bundles, less than 10k.

Website not a problem, will do it myself.

Just need an idea of best supplier, (not just price) but service and support.

And an idea of rental for a unit and what size, what accounting software to run the money side.

Have narrowed training down to two possible places, one is a lot dearer than the other but the dearer one seems to be best.

Dont think about web sites, units, suppliers etc at this stage. Look into a good training course search the web for trainers see what you think sounds good call them ask questions etc then decide what one sounds the best for you. Some people say trainings no good, but i think its the best way to learn the tricks of the trade etc, and then its practice pratice and chuck loads of tint on the floor. When you first start more film will be going on the floor than the car, when its the other way you have started to learn, and then its learn, each day, each year, each car, and you will keep on learning. Dont worry about suppliers etc until you know the basic's then you can get samples of a few film and decide what one YOU prefer to use.
naughtydog
who are you thinking of using for training?

Sorry about that, PC crashed.

I have narrowed training down to tintschool and patinamatrix, tintschool get very good reports from the film companies, and as far as I know Patinamatrix has risen out of the Johnson ashes, and I think they only train with their own film.

I want to start off by doing flat glass tinting as I feel I could sell the business on a Carbon Footprint, and EMAS (EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) level, as lots of companies are now trying to reduce their carbon footprint in order to gain certifications with these bodies, as lots of councils and potential customers now ask to see this before allowing any business to tender for trade.

The decision I have is for the price of flat tint training at tintschool, I can get flat tint and automotive training at Patinamatrix, and although I do not tend to use automotive tinting at the moment, I will in the future.

I seem to be thinking towards Bonwyke rather than Solar Gard, mainly because of the customers support side seems more friendly, particularly at start up.

I also need to source a good easy to use Accounting software, ideally an online one, to do my daily ins and outs, and business plan.

Bonwyke customer service is spot on. Solar Gard/ Beakeart suck i trained with them and would never touch them again for various reasons.

Tint school might be more expensive but I trained with him and the advice he gave me was second to none. If I ever get a slight problem he is always on the other end of the phone and ready to help if he can. As for solargard I use their film and have never had a problem with their service, I have even ordered film at 3.45 and it has turned up the nxt day. But at the end of the day its up to you, but speak to all the trainers and ask as many questions as poss, and use whatever film you feel is right for you. Good luck.

Is this software that you use, and is it easy to pick up and learn.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
