I have tinted about 8 cars now and pretty much got the hang of it, and now i am wanting to buy a big roll.. since i don't own my own business i cant order from sun tek, and VT and tint supply are the only places i have found that i can. Does anyone know which kind of film is better out of the 2... VT or tint supply's... if you do please let me know, or if you know any other places that would be a good start it would be very appreciated. Thanks!

If you are this new to tinting VT will give you cleaner installs

first things first, after 8 cars you haven't "got the hang of it" yet. But, with a LOT more practice you will.

I've never used Tint Supplies film, but for being a reboxed low end film, their prices seem really high. You can get some nice Solar Gard for those kind of prices.

VT has some very nice films. They are all 1.5mil, so their nice and thick and easy to work with/shrink. You'll love the color of them too. I would also check out Express Window Films(buytint.com). They have a really good product, and I have been incorporating their True Black series into my line of films.

If you want to check out a "big name" film, check out Global's QDP. Its very similar to VT's Sirius II and EWF's TB. Its actually cheaper than VT, but more expensive than EWF.

Is it really cheaper than VT?? I tried getting some QDP but my local dist. tried to talk me into Maxpro. I want to try Global but don't know who to call now.

That's because Gaware - the maker of Global - is having troubles with this down economy affecting India

Sirius II has a darker look from the inside, with the same color.

Sirius II has a little more brown to it. Super easy to work with and installs clean. Does feel kinda thick when your working with it and makes 1/4 windows a little tougher to cut patterns. You can make a good profit with it. My line up is 1) Suntek Infinity OP 2) Suntek Carbon 3) Value Tint Sirius II. I like working with the Carbon the Best. I did strip my lexus of the VT Sirius II in favor of the OP and there was No adhesive residue on the windows blink.gif I had to schrak a rear 1/4 window due to my greasy knuckle mark after 20mins with the suntek and had to scrape the whole dam window. I may just change my Options to "you want carbon orrrrr Car-bon" as long as its Carbon thumb.gif

qdp comes off with most of the adhesive too, but it depends on the angle you pull it with. However, its not like the cheap films, it does take some muscle to pull it off, its on there good. Similar to removing PPF if you've ever done that, takes a lot of muscle
