removing rubber from double pane windows

What risks are there in removing the rubber prior to installation to get a clean finish on double pane windows?

are you talking the commercial windows that have the black rubber that is easy to pull? I will pull the sides and bottom or top, but not normally top and bottom both..... I also have a couple small pieces of the gasket that I will put in the corners if there ever is a need to pull all the edges, ie Blackout film...

oh....and if you pull them just know that you need to put them back in top then bottom and work it back in. They will stretch some but DO NOT cut them off if you are not getting it back in or they will shrink and you will be replacing them...

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
