Looking at purchasing one that is 12' - 14' ( not sure which one yet ). Anyone have experience using them and would they recommend or not.
Thanks.
not exactly sure which ladder you are looking at.... I would not and WILL NOT trade my Werner Multi-ladder for anything other than perhaps a Little Giant. Although I used an LG last week end for a small job and I can't say it was any better.....
LG or Werner Multi for ladders. Anything else is just not as versatile or portable.....also very comfortable to stand on either one...
What manufacturer are you talking about? Copy/Paste a link to one you are thinking of.
These are just some that I have come across. http://www.littlegiantladder.com/little-gi...fiberglass.html http://www.littlegiantladder.com/product_d...productid=16141 http://proladder.com/little-giant-pro-series-ladder/ http://www.jawsladders.com/index.html http://www.metaltechna.com/en/stepladder7_en.html
never heard of the "Jaws" ladders....prices are about the same as the LG's. I think the OP is talking about something like that last link there...I have looked at those style ladders at the store and I don't think I would feel safe using those...
I've got a couple telescopic ladders.. they work good for around the house / construction projects.. but for tinting I would get a Multi-Ladder like the LG or Werner, etc..
stick to whatever u are used to. i use LG because my feet are programmed to it. i used a gorilla once and was uneasy about it.
whenever i need a telescoping i rent it from home depot. it isnt often i need it though. did a job couple months back where there was an upper with 2 panes under it. thing all together was 9ft tall. customer said the cleaner just props his ladder in the middle of the glass along the metal rail. i wasnt gonna take that risk so i rented a telescoping and ran it all the way to the top of the window and worked under instead of on top of the ladder QUOTE (VIP tint + glass @ Aug 8 2009, 08:23 PM) [*]708909[/*] so i rented a telescoping and ran it all the way to the top of the window and worked under instead of on top of the ladder please describe how you worked "under" the ladder....new trick to me
I think he means thru ladders rungs
i have collect all most all of them through the years. 3'-12' a-frame's. 18'-32' extensions and my collection of lg's and gorillas that i wont trade for anything. the extension ladders are invaluable for certian jobs where the lg's are too tough to extend then stand up in some spaces.
Personally I would go with the Little Giant. They are more expensive than the Gorilla Ladders, but they hold up better.
The first Little Giant I bought was in 1987, and it's still in use to this day. Only thing I changed was the locking mechanism. LG upgraded them about 15 years ago and sent us a free one for all 4 ladders.
I saw that ladder at Sams club for something like 70$ . I thought it was a great ladder to have, especially for the price. Granted this is not a ladder your going to use really all that often, but still good to have

Thanks. little giant or the gorilla ladders are great ladders to have.....found that i use the medium one more than any other and fit better in my car...lol...with no other passengers
