Orajet(with picture) + 551 Oracal (transp) I dont have an answer to your Q but I do know thats tight as hell! Thats just vinyl right?
I'd definetly go the wet route....
hollywood, vinyl + heat gun makes miracles
sunlimitedCT, mb u have some video with wet wrap process? :\
No I don't, it would be very similar to wrapping in it ppf, but you wouldn't stretch it like you would ppf. Even easier because you dont have to hide any blemishes. I keep one bottle with a bit more slip, one bottle with just water, and one bottle with a touch of alcohol in case you need something really tacky...
Can you get a pic of the whole hood?
what is ppf?
Paint protection film
That hood shouldn't be too difficult, pull the grill to wrap just inside, but other than that doesn't look like anything too drastic, good luck
I would love to get into ppf and vinyl for that little extra income. How hard is to do without a plotter? Or is it impossible without one? lol

It's great to have ambitions, and the more you learn the better you'll do, but learn one at a time, it'll all come to you. One day it was like a switch for me, someone turned the switch on, and "I got it", you'll know when it's time to venture off into ppf or wraps, until then practice practice, practice, otherwise a sub par install will make the industry look bad as a whole... Understand that completely. I think I would have to move to a bigger town to actually have a steady amout of PPF customers. There just simply isnt enough high end cars in my town. Plenty of nice cars but nothing that anybody wants to drop a grand on a car with the way the economy is right now. (Graphik @ Aug 9 2009, 10:26 AM) [*]708992[/*] ![]() ![]() How do i need to do hood? Shady Sherlock, i don't know where i can buy steamer :\
Can u show the hood closer? What film do u use?
I don't have any closer shots of the hood, it's been about 3 years on there now...
The install was really clean, except for the flaws in the paint... That was Oracal 751.... Check with your tint supplier about a steamer...
I checked out info about steamer
How you dry edges of the film, when you apply it wet? (Graphik @ Aug 11 2009, 10:37 PM) [*]709564[/*] I checked out info about steamer How you dry edges of the film, when you apply it wet? After you squeegie the water out from the center to the edge, it will begin to stick better as it air dries or that would be a good place for your heatgun on a lower setting just to get the adhesive to stick... I used about 1/3 more soap than I do for tinting and I added a bit of alcohol to help the water evaporate faster...
