Full Version: Film Display Idea
So I was just thinking the other day that it would be nice if there were someone somewhere that would make a"Generic Film Display" that we could use with absolutely ANYONE's film. Every professional film display I have seen always pushes the maker of the film. I understand why they do that but what if we switch film lines because of poor quality and warranty issues? Then we have to start all over again with some other manu's film display showing their film. I would like to see a display that allows us to change out film samples at will and still look highly professional. I guarantee you this will NEVER happen with any manu so perhaps an enterprising person on the board could come up with one. Heck, I might even do it since it is my idea. I know one thing for sure...I would definitely buy one.
There you go, that's my idea. Now, everybody way in.
So... I guess nobody thinks this is a good idea?
Give it sometime! I feel the force is strong here!!!
you can make one but diferent films excell in different areas. you really need to concentrate on each individual films benefits over others

My front area is half glass, so being a window tinter, I tinted them in different shades. a 50, 35, 20, and 5. the glass is big enough I can point and say "thats how dark the film is" I assume you could do this with a smaller window and piece the different %'s together.

I like this. I've seeing door glass on a door and on a stand at a dist. training show a few years ago, I thought to my self , I could do that! That way the customers can look at it from both sides and also roll it up and down.
I have all my different films in framed displays with my own personally designed posters. Then I have ten 6"x21" 1/4" thick glass tinted with all the different films and shades and some tinted for comparisons. Customers love to pick them up take them out to their car and put them through the wow box. And them ones tinted for comparisons have really helped sell Drei which is great $$$$$
We are working on printing a generic poster that will slip into a plexiglass display.
You will be able to tint 3 or 4 samples onto a piece of glass that will slide at the bottom of the display. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
