Full Version: The long awaited Titan tool has finally arrived!
I wanted to give my online friends the first shot at getting these long awaited items. Zola Distributing just loaded them onto the website at a special introductory price of $9.50. There has been a ton of interest in this tool since it was shown in Window Film Magazine a couple of months ago. I will be announcing this to the industry later today, but I wanted to give everyone here a head start.

I think it would be good practice to send one to the uk for review...if not, what is the shipping charge?
ND QUOTE (Booms2Go @ Aug 13 2009, 05:38 PM) [*]709834[/*] Hey Patric.... I want one! Actually, I have been making progress on the sprayers. It may require us to buy alot of them, so I want to make sure there is the appropriate amount of interest. If not, I might be able to find you a place that is already carrying them that you can buy a small number from directly. Holy smokes! Analytics on Zola Distributing website shows that yesterday (8/13) the website had 2.5 times the amount of traffic it had on it's next largest traffic day. Truly want to thank the many that placed orders and all that came over to check us out. Still have not even released the news anywhere other than the forums and the response has been amazing.

here's a question for those of you who have gotten the titan. yesterday i did a 300C ( the one in the johnson marathon thread.) it was one that had the 3rd brake light tight enough to the BG that the bulldozer wouldn't fit. i ended up pulling the deck. no big deal.....but would the titan have done the job for me? or would i have still pulled the deck out?

The BLADE part is the same thicknes as the bulldozer, but the body is nowhere near is thick. And the Titan is a "side to side" tool, not an up and down one like the bulldozer. QUOTE (blade @ Aug 19 2009, 08:46 PM) [*]711429[/*] thanks wifey We got a Enterprise rental place with a few 300C's, I'll try it out today Blade.
ordered mine. My expectations are high. I hope it reaches around some of those pita 3rd brake lights
Got mine in and tried it out yesterday. Very Disappointing. Way too flimsy. Needs to be stiffer near the tip. I found myself holding it near the tip to firm it up. That kinda ruins the whole idea of a larger / longer tool.
That was one reason I didn't order it, it looks flimsy near the front, which would lead to the blue part pulling away just like a conquerer.....I'll wait for more feedback...

I do not know what the final feedback from the field will be regarding the stiffness of the Titan, but the blue blade should not pull away as it is integrated into the body and not glued on like the old Conqueror. It looks to me like it is bonded to the body in much the same way as the new Conqueror and the Conquistador and I am not aware of the blade pulling away on those.
Please keep the feedback coming in on the Titan. I have heard both extremes thus far and I am trying to determine what aspect that people like and what people that dislike the tool are unhappy with. Often times it is difficult as most installers all have different preferences. What some installers hate, others love. I know that it is sometimes the case that an installer will tell ma a particular tool is a piece of junk, but then looking at the sales numbers show that over 10,000 had been sold worldwide the previous year. I have heard great things about this fitting behind 3rd brake lights, but some have said, as you can read above, that they would like it to be stiffer.
Looking forward to more feedback as more are used in the field. QUOTE (PJF @ Aug 20 2009, 11:51 AM) [*]711601[/*] Please keep the feedback coming in on the Titan. It's like a conqueror only it has a much longer blade and it's a lil bit stiffer. If it were a bit stiffer it would be great. It's the same thickness as the conqueror and will slide behind most brake light's but im not sure if it'll do the 300C, that things tighter than a v..... nevermind
