I came across this while doing my regular search for any articles related to window film. While the film mentioned is likely not one that many members on this forum use, the information on how large international companies are looking at window films as a part of their green initiatives is exciting. This all adds credibility to our industry and products and should benefit us all if this trend can be encouraged.

I thought so also. Some big names using window films can only be beneficial for all of us.

i feel like BIG tint companys have the market cornered when it comes to these BIG commercial jobs.small guys like us dont stand a chance, even though we could handle it,and probably do a better job.

Thats a good article i think the smaller companies should be able to get big jobs, and help big companies such as the ones mentioned in the article do there bit for the enviroment and save there energy costs.Companies need to be educated on what window films can do for there businesses.

Patrick,

good article.. I actually just completed a 3K ft solar install at a Hilton. I had done some work previously for another client who turned the CEO of the Hilton on to me.. With a visit and a few phone calls I scored the job.. I do agree that the larger coorperations are definately looking for energy savings. The electric bill for this perticular hilton was approx 16K per month.. We filmed the entire south side of the building, guest rooms and a large first floor lobby and dining area.. The PM company that this CEO represented also oversees 8 hotel chains in that local area, and stated a few more will be coming my way with energy savings as the concern..

To those who have given up on scoring big jobs.. become knowledgeable, pound the pavement, develop confidence and attempt to make yourself a better representative of our film industry, then you wont have to bad mouth the large companies who have already done their homework. If your complaining about something, there's a reason for it. Theres a 99% chance you could have done it better... just my twocents.gif

now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
