good article.. I actually just completed a 3K ft solar install at a Hilton. I had done some work previously for another client who turned the CEO of the Hilton on to me.. With a visit and a few phone calls I scored the job.. I do agree that the larger coorperations are definately looking for energy savings. The electric bill for this perticular hilton was approx 16K per month.. We filmed the entire south side of the building, guest rooms and a large first floor lobby and dining area.. The PM company that this CEO represented also oversees 8 hotel chains in that local area, and stated a few more will be coming my way with energy savings as the concern..
To those who have given up on scoring big jobs.. become knowledgeable, pound the pavement, develop confidence and attempt to make yourself a better representative of our film industry, then you wont have to bad mouth the large companies who have already done their homework. If your complaining about something, there's a reason for it. Theres a 99% chance you could have done it better... just my
