I normally dig around on the internet and talk to sales reps... of course buying one through a sales rep will cost you more, but maybe you get better customer service if something were to go insanely wrong with your plotter.

I just picked up a few month old roland off ebay, and i had 0 issues whatsoever.
that is good, I guess its just one of those things that I would be worried about getting on ebay... i'm not scared to buy off ebay by anymeans though...
