Retails on this link for 5K, which I think is steep. That's closer to what their FC8000 should retail, and it's their top of the line plotter. This plotter is is still a damn good one, I just think the new comparable should be closer to $3900 or so. If you can pick it up with half a year of cc software - which may or may not be transferable, you should double check, I'd think $2,000 - $2,300 is a fair offer right now. Come this winter they'll be some crazy deals available by guys letting this kind of stuff go. I recently bought out a whole shop of tools, equipment. peel boards, brand new Vinyl Express 42" (sign warehouse brand of graph tec FC7000), and half a year of Tint Tek, for 2 grand. Another guy here sold a DGI with rotary storage for $900 last winter. Everyone starts way higher on here, craigs list, etc., but generally come waaay down.
i have the CE5000-120 and the thing works great. basically the same plotter

brand new. just got it this summer. it actually measures out at about 52" so basically you're limited to a 48" roll. although i never go larger than 40'. it's a great plotter, haven't had any issues whatsoever, and setup was a piece of cake.
Sorry to barge in, but can anyone tell me if a Graphtec CE3000-120 is a quality plotter for tint cutting? There is one in my area and if it would be great for my need(tint only) then I am going to grab it.
why would you need nore than 40" plotter. Would you be pre cutting for commercial tinting . Risky incase you precut the job and they change color or cancal job.

without seeing it and going on word that it is in good working order, I would probably offer you $500.
I already have 3 ... I guess I could use one at my dads shop for his junk QUOTE (wetintcars.com @ Oct 10 2009, 10:48 AM) [*]722194[/*] QUOTE (blade @ Sep 4 2009, 09:25 AM) [*]714419[/*] i have the CE5000-120 and the thing works great. basically the same plotter Blade, What software do you use? for tint patterns.....llumar's precision cut for everything else i use flexi-sign pro QUOTE (watchdaride @ Sep 7 2009, 02:44 PM) [*]715030[/*] why would you need nore than 40" plotter. Thats what they sign a contract and have a deposit for. They agree to the price and the color and film type, if they change their mind than they pay the material difference and I order the new film.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
