Anybody heard about the DIRECT LINE INSURANCE Company refusing to insure drivers under the age of 25 who tell them that their vehicles are tinted.. ...but hang on they are allegedly refusing to insure if they have tinted windows BEHIND the 'B' Posts now...nothing to do with any glass in front of the 'B' Posts????? Is this something new...? Something only Direct Line are doing? So any under 25 driver who has a car with factory tinted glass should not be insured either...? Likewise they cannot be insured if they drive a van with no windows behind the 'B' Post...? Anybody heard similar from other insurance companies or storys from their customers?

I havent heard anything about insurance companys not insuring a customer because of tints.I know they sometimes put the premium up or sometimes put it down because of a security enhancement. My fiancee works in insurance so i get kept up to date !!

I know a guy with a Fiesta ST, wanted his windows done, booked him in, then he told his insurance company about he was having the windows tinted, they wanted £1200 for it...
He was already payin £2800 for his insurance....
So they were going to insure him, but for a stupid price...

We had finished an X5 B Pillar Back on a Saturday about 4 years ago. Customer called direct line to inform them about having a 20% film BPB as per factory, direct line CANCELLED their insurance on the spot. I don't think direct lines attitude is anything to worry about, they just want unmodified vehicles on their books. Tint Bob Sussex
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
