help new in forum

hi all uk window tinters

i hope u all could give some advise and some help how to set up in window tint business as mobile basis what do i need .can i do it from a car or it has to be a van

and can i work as sole trader or it must be conpany ltd.

i have motor experience as in-car fitter for 9 years i fit alarm audio xenon central locking hands free all sorts i came a cross window tint 6 months ago doing my car and friends cars

i done them ok no problems i shrunk them was fine triming was fine too but like everybody learning day by day i have used film suntek is it a good film ?i havent tryed the support as i dind need as yet

i aslo tryed a product which is new well its new to me but u all mabe know it helps to shrink back windows helps a lot do u know this product ? it called (bounce ) thanks for all the help

First bit of advice I can give you is to turn on and use the spell checker function on your computer.

If he is doing written quotes or putting together proposals with spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors such as those on his post then he is going to lose business, regardless of how good a tinter he is.

its funny, i used to use this site alot, it was a good laugh im sure some of you old schoolers out there will agree (davie, nick, barry etc you know who you are) however i have only recently started posting on here again, i have found in recent times far to many people on here ready to jump on people for the slightest thing, bitches i call them, people with the my way is the only way attitude, not here to help anyone and dont believe anyone else can teach them anything, im not singling anyone out here it just seems to be the experience ive had on here recently not like a couple of years ago when this place was a proper little community, i always think if you dont have anything constructive to say or if its not going to make people laugh then shut the hell up, we all like a laugh, nobody likes a bitch!

i agree with tint325i i didn't think this forum was to check everyone`s typing i thought was for helping each other and that is all i asked for some help if anyone could help i appreciate thanks

mr douglas of yorkshire, if you do a search on this site you'll find some very good info and some sensible contributers that will go out of their way to help you but you'll also come across lots of "posting police" and morons that will take every opportunity to fire you down and disuade you from tinting or just give sacrastic comments instead of just giving info and helping you out, specially from our so called british brethren aka "the UK boys"
many off these so called "professional tinters" are so ignorant its unbelievable, beacuse they make £500 a day they seem to think they can give it the large, unfortunately for those mentioned they will be on the scrapheap within 10 years or begging for change under waterloo bridge as by then the UK tint trade will be run by poles/brazilians/romanians/turks/albanians/allahs army/etc, banging out £40 full car tint jobs, hahahaha......................

my advice to you is to get as far aways from rip-off britain asap, before it descends into a third world cesspit inhabited by foriegn scammers, british dole bludgers, shariah law and us being turned into dhiimi slaves for our muslim masters

This site does 300 to 400 posts a day and functions pretty well, you really have to dig to find sarcastic posts but on a forum this size there will be a few. I find posts like both of yours much more offensive, these blanket condemnations are undeserved and unwarranted. But I'm sure you will be able to find something else to complain about in the next thousand or so posts.

I have some advice. Do you want to listen?

Why dont you save yourself some wasted money and contact your local small business advisory service, they will help you out with whats needed to set up a company - you should become a sole trader . You also really need to become aware of what is needed to find customers and make them happy!...and this is'nt just a cheap price!

Then, before trying to make career out of something you are not capable of doing yet, find something else to do in the meantime and offer window tinting for little money, offer it for cost price and do lots of cars for practice.

When you are mobile you need good technique, you would be best to learn in a clean environment and get good there before going outside in the wind and rain!!

Lots of companies - sorry cowboys!! try and fail to do window tinting because they are led to believe that after 3 days training they can rock the world..nothing cold be further from the truth. They are doing crappy work, ruining the perception of what is an acceptable level of finish and giving peole refunds and then they are making losses..dont become one of them and end up in Loserville!

The fabric softeners are carcinogenic...

Suntek is a decent name brand of film, but after you get more experienced, you will find a film that works best for you... Be it, suntek or some other. Everyone has a favorite....

Best of luck, all I would ask is that you keep your prices competitive with other tinters in your area, if you go around and start low-balling, you'll give yourself a bad name and possibly screw up the market in your area...

yes i did it was with u nik i got the films that u sent to try. i tryed them very good to work with i will contact u to place my order just need to sort out something first
