Does anyone have any experience with Sun-Gard film? Is is good for shrinking? I need some reviews. I wish there was a book written with all the experience and tips I find on this site. You guys are terrific.

Here is the skinny,

Most all of the major manufactures have good film and they usually have cheap film as well so it really depends on what line you are interested in. I like SunGard and have been using their film here at my shop for going on 15 years now and a couple of years before at the shop I learned how to tint. I use the PerformX line and I really like it. It has a good look, a high TSER and shrinks well. I like the thickness and durability of it as well.

That being said there is no better review than your own. Try it out and see for yourself what you think.

i like the shadow line. i dont really like the lava. i dont know if they still make the "cobalt" film, but you should stay away from that film.

the shadow line in my opinion has a really great factory match, it feels nice and works well.

Well thanks to some of you for your answers...I appreciate that...and to the rest of you...If you were so great at tinting...you wouldn't have time to be on here sucking the life out of those who are here to learn. Bless your hearts! icon_mrgreen.gif

i agree with snappy. shadow shrinks pretty well and its easy to work with. semi-aggressive adhesive imo. but overall, its a good film

The point others were making was to use the search function. I bet if you typed "SunGard" in the search box, one would find a gaggle of information from previous threads.

TTS
Flaugh.gif That's what my customer told me Saturday....

he SWORE my competitor put 'window film' on the front end of his buddies cobra.... because he said it DEFINATELY was not paint protection film....

so see.. some 'tint' cars.. Flaugh.gif
919er
Guess you're right TTS, who says paint protection has to be clear...maybe that would be a cool new fad...shaded tint bras that prtect the paint. blink.gif

Werks fer me.

now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
