Hello All, I recently gotten my car tinted with pinnacle 35% 4 doors/and rear for $---. At first all looked good, but next day on my rear window I noticed small about one inche where it does not look like a professionally done. I know there is no such thing as a perfect job, but looks like to me the person who tinted used some sharp object or finger nails to press down and caught the film. I don’t think it’s going to improve no matter how long I let it dry. Can you let me know if this is reasonable tint or this calls for redo? The place I got tinted been in business for over 20 years and supposed to be top notch, but I have some question about that after seeing this. It’s been really cloudy here so I was not able to check out other areas. I am waiting for about 3 days before I clean inside window and be able to roll windows down to check window trimming. I will take it back and see what he has to say.

It's like seeing a small zit on someone's nose. Its like wanna pop it , but I can live with it. Tinter insisted he is gooood. I asked him after completion how tint looking.. he replied we are the best aren’t we.

No, If I would have tinted it, I wouldn't have overheated the finger..... That being said....that's a nice car, You paid a good amount of money to have it tinted, and Your not happy with it. If it bothers You, take it back, and have them redo it.

Looks like they pushed some air out from under the temper mark after that area was too dry.

Either way, considering its under the lettering I wouldn't consider it a big deal. No install is 100% perfect, theres always that ONE spot

i think you should take the car back . so they can fix it / or redo the back window also do not try to clean your windows for at least 3 days . the back ground it look kind of cloudy .. someo the shop leave some of type of finger prints or marks .. on the windows to make sure the customer has follow the instructions .....#1 rule be kind with the shop .... you will get your window fix asap. if you are rude the shop will take there time to do it , since they got good reputation they have alot of customers . they got paid for the service any way

If you were my customer I would handle it like this:
oh you have a problem? lets go check it out,
mmm yeah thats not cool, well Its up to you if you can live with it or want to give it another week or two to see if it bothers you, if you want it redone i'll be glad to do that for you tomorrow.
It always sucks to have to redo one because it is the most expensive piece to redo.
So if you can live with it and still recommend other people to take it to that shop then do so. If you wouldn't recommend that shop because of that spot then take it back and let him make it right for you.
Choice is yours but he should be obligated to redo it for you with no hassles.

Choice is yours but he should be obligated to redo it for you with no hassles. not necessarily no hassles, because there is a point where you draw the line of what is considered an acceptable flaw in the film. Personally, since its just a few dirt spots directly under the lettering on the window, I wouldn't redo it. The lettering already is a little whiteish, so those few spots aren't going to hurt. I believe that would fall under the don't inspect the tint with a magnifying glass rule

yeah I would like to tell all of the customers to look out the window not at it, I have ocd about small things like that it would bug the hell out of me, if I had left that in that glass I would think about it for at least a month. I would much rather pay the cost of the rear window and let that customer know that I %100 stand by my work... Also I would gladly pay the cost of a rear window to keep someone from possibly bad mouthing my work.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
