my grandfather has made some of the most amazing stained glass...some stained glass that he has made, had as many as 750 pieces......like this one

this is my piece i made of window tint to look as if it was stained glass....i still have the clear on this and havent installed it on glass yet...lol..its peal and stick. to al my tintdudes black was CumputerCut pattern and all colors are hand cut.....i would lay the color on the pattern and scratch the clear with my knife to make the peices fit right. then remove color of the pattern to cut it (mainly not to ruin the original pattern)

this is for you tinters out there that need some new ideas to make some real money.....stained glass is so pricey so should art like this......

it came out real good i think. it would look so much better if i was on a circle window on a house, with the back ground being some sort of mountain scape or better yet installed on a peice of glass period....

Say you had a 48”x48” window to do like that what would you charge for DIY or installed? And how long would it take you to complete such a design?, and it looks very nice Jeff. biggthumpup.gif

i beleive its cost effective to the point its cheaper than real glass and could be place on a peice of glass that could be installed infront of a window one day but move to the next room another day...almost as if it was wall art. this took some time but no where near the time it take for real glass...i say i have 3 labor hours on this peice....

to answer the question "yes they would" i can ship it to you if you like it that much.....the clear is still on it and measures at 14 inches round

I've done that for years!!! You can take stain glass books and take the art work from them and create some beautiful stuff! Nice work Jeff!

got this off ComputerCut all my black is ComputerCut and the rest is hand cut, by scratching technique....i know this is nothing to you but it is a different technique than your use to....and so much less time involved?

no transfer tape and this can be intsalled anywhere sinde the clear is still on it...built up from the first layer and peiced it in that way...

thanks for your positive comments all!

i put this out there with hope that we all can make as much money as we can write now.....

that a great idea about the books ill search for some..they could be added straight to the database at cc

now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
