Full Version: easier frameless
If you are doing a frameless door glass and have another person around that can help, then the easy way is to have them pull the glass back so as to open up the "channel" and it will allow the film to slide in easy! The hardest thing with this is getting people to understand how far that glass will flex out.....pull hard and it will open it up.
buy some windshield suction cups, keeps their hands off the edge of the glass. been doin this for years on tight windows. but we dont do it to frameless cuz we either remove the rubber or just tuck it. good tip tough for the non tuckers
good tip, but a good tinter should not need help on a framless door. ever.
its a good tip. some bmw fronts are tight as hell in the front
You don't need no stinking help on these...use your head! After I've squeegeed the top half of the glass, I drench the bottom and pull the rest of the liner, then push with my noggin against the top part of the glass and tuck the bottom under the rub strip. Que the head jokes
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
